Thanksgiving is undoubtedly one of my favorite Holidays, and I am very much looking forward to spending time with family and good friends . . . and, of course, eating more than I probably should. Before I leave the office today, I thought I’d take a minute to wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving.
You know, the economic crisis we’re facing is a terrible mess. I truly wish it would just go away and let us get back to business as usual, but it’s not that easy. I do think there’s a small silver lining, though. Make a point tomorrow to think about and talk about the things you’re thankful for, maybe around the dinner table with family and friends. Even though things are gloomy in the economy, I know you’ll still come up with more than a handful of things to be thankful for. These things are the most important things – – and tough times cause us to see how important they really are to us.
I firmly believe we live in a very blessed country. Sure, we encounter bumps in the road every now and then, but we’re resilient. We bounce back. We innovate, we find a way, and we’re better for it. Have a Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow. Enjoy your time with family and friends, and eat just a little too much – – we need the energy if we’re going to keep fighting the good fight and get our economy back on track.
Wishing You and Yours a Happy Turkey Day,
P.S. Entrepreneurs and business owners will lead the way to our nation’s economic recovery, so thank one sometime this week. It just might make his or her week and give them the courage to keep fighting to provide jobs and find a way to be successful, and that’s exactly the attitude we need.
