We at Mercantile Capital Corporation have a reputation for working hard and playing hard. I believe we earn that reputation every year, and that’s why the Holiday Season is a welcome one for us. It’s sort of a chance to catch our breath as we launch into the New Year. We’re still working terribly hard, mind you — November and December are historically two of our busiest months in terms of closings — but the office gets a little quieter with people on vacation and visiting family, and it’s a nice reprieve from the usual hustle-and-bustle.
In less than a week, we’ll be into a New Year, and I know there are lots of people hoping for 2011 to be better than 2010 was for them. This past year provided plenty of bumps, bruises, and rough spots for huge portions of our economy. A year of “smoother sailing” would be a welcome thing. I could spend all day thinking and talking about new beginnings and clean slates, but what really matters is what we’re going to do with what we’ve been given.
The challenges we faced this past year have made us more resilient and more prepared than ever to handle whatever comes our way in 2011. My New Year’s Resolution is simply to keep going, to keep doing the little things that ultimately add up to success, and I invite you to do the same. I’m excited about what the New Year will bring, aren’t you?
Dedicated to Your Continued Success,
P.S. Many thanks to everyone who’s had a hand in our success in 2010 — all of our wonderful Clients and our Referral Partners who have brought us business. Also thanks to everyone who has been part of the conversation here at www.504blog.com. Let’s do it again 2011!
